Badger Trust represents the activities of a wide network of local voluntary Badger Groups in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, all working for the protection of their local badgers.

The Badger Trust’s local member groups are involved in a wide range of activities, such as rescuing injured and orphaned badgers, protecting setts, responding to planning threats and assisting in the criminal prosecution of those who persecute badgers.

At the Badger Trust we have openly opposed the cull since its inception; fighting legal battles, calling for scientific research and supporting groups on the ground. Today the badger culls have claimed the lives of 3,916 badgers in Gloucestershire, Somerset, and Dorset alone. In 2016 the cull is spreading to 5 new counties: South Devon, North Devon, North Cornwall, Herefordshire and West Dorset.
